Love my Brooks Launch GTS 8 Run Lucky shoes!
These shoes are so comfortable and absolutely adorable in person. Perfect for St. Patty’s Day or any other day when you wanna rock some lucky little clovers. Run true to size, possibly only the tiniest bit big.
PLAID!
I already liked the GTS, but I also love anything PLAID! How could I resist these? They’re stabile, durable, and BEAUTIFUL.
Run Lucky
I purchase the Run Lucky from Brooks every year. This is my 4th or 5th pair. I was very excited that this year it was a GTS version as I prefer a stability shoe. But I am also Irish so I will buy it anyway, I just may not run in it. I will say that the Run Lucky model is VERY inconsistent, and I’ve found this to be a problem in general in the past few years with Brooks. Some years I love it others not so much and there was one year (the year they did the big fancy box) it was so uncomfortable I couldn’t even wear them to just kick around. THIS model (2021) is very comfortable out of the box, however, the sizing is off. The one thing I have always liked about Brooks is I know a size 9 is my size. Period. However with this shoe I have some heel slippage even with back-lacing. I will continue to tweak, but I’m disappointed, hence the 4 stars as opposed to 5. Other than that it is a cushy shoe without being overly “foamy”. I don’t feel quite as stabilized with the slippage factor but no foot pain so far.
