Brooks Ghost 18 Review: Your go-to gets an upgrade
If youโre just beginning and looking for one shoe to start with, the Brooks Ghost is a great choice.
The Brooks Ghost 18 is the fan-favorite daily trainer that always shows up for you โ run after run, mile after mile.
Year after year, the Ghost earns its place as one of the running shoes out there, and the Ghost 18 continues that tradition with meaningful updates that make a great shoe even better.
Nitrogen-infused DNA Loft v3 foam delivers a consistent, protective ride that feels balanced and stable underfoot, and reliable in the way that matters most when you're logging the kind of everyday miles that build a real running base. A new Ortholite X-60 sockliner adds a noticeably plusher step-in feel that longtime Ghost fans will appreciate right away.
The biggest upgrade in the Ghost 18 is the new engineered air-mesh upper — more breathable, more accommodating and more comfortable than the previous version. A flat-knit tongue, plush heel collar and slightly roomier toe box work together to create a step-in feel that our wear testers couldn't stop talking about. "The upper of the Ghost 18 is what most other brands aim to create," said our reviewer Max. "The step-in feel is unmatched." Whether you have narrow feet, wide feet or something in between, the Ghost 18 makes room for everyone.

Great shoe. Love that it comes in a narrow width, foot feels more secure going on 5 mile walks. I was getting blisters on my bottom of heel, so I purchased anti-blister socks and the combo is great!
Brooks Ghost Running shoes have been more go to for several years and Fleet feet the place to buy any running shoes due to their return policy. Nothing is more frustrating than a pair of expensive running shoes that don't fit correctly. I have to say that I like the 18 more than my previous version. Due to some foot issues, I need a neutral shoe with good support but not overly cushioned or with "guide" systems. This shoe is comfortable and the toe box is wide enough to not squish toes. I normally wear a 7.5 but definitely need an 8.
Great!
Comfortable, like the look, perfect for everyday wear.
The Brooks Ghost 18 is comfortable and practical for everyday wear.
Love every pair of Brooks Ghost I've ever purchased.
Being a dog walker, I put on a lot of miles each week. These look to beholding up better than my Hokas as thy have more tread on the bottom, while still being very cushy. I really like my Hokas too, but these have become my main shoe and I switch off the others to make them last longer. Great service from Fleet Feet helping me learn about shoes and thoughtfully considering my feet health!
These are great for walking, gym. Just enough cushion without being too bulky. Brooks are a bit pricy these days but I had tried about a dozen other brands to find the right ones for me.
They are very comfortable
