- Upper: An engineered mesh upper, padded tongue and heel counter, plus enhanced overlays for extra support and a heel lock on the back, give you a tried-and-true fit that locks down your midfoot and contours to the shape of your feet. So no blisters, hot spots or rubbing. Plus, the Brooks Ghost 16 is available in narrow, wide and extra wide widths.
- Midsole: The Ghost 16 comes upgraded with a DNA Loft v3 midsole foam that’s injected with nitrogen, which then turns from a liquid to a gas. The result is a lightweight ride that’s durable and smooths out your run.
- Outsole: RoadTack rubber is a new outsole material from Brooks made of rubber and recycled silica. This combined with the DNA Loft v3 midsole makes the Ghost 16 one of the most durable shoes out there.

The latest version of the Ghost comes with a brand-new, nitrogen-infused DNA Loft v3 midsole and sees the stack height dropped by one millimeter compared to the previous version. Brooks also used their new RoadTack rubber on the outsole that’s durable and grippy to hold up against daily wear.

Great running shoe, great price!
I like my Brooks Ghost 16, very much! I have worn this shoe (Ghost) for a few years now- they are comfortable and supportive for my feet. The Ghost 17 has arrived, so I take advantage of getting the "last year's" model, so to speak. I wear these running shoes all the time and have many pairs to alternate each day, sometimes changing shoes twice in one day for work, then a walk or run in the afternoon. They are versatile and I love them! Thank you!
