The carbon-plated ASICS MetaSpeed Edge is built to crush your PRs.

This is a shoe for cadence-style runners who change cadence easier as they run faster. (If you change your stride to run faster, then the ASICS MetaSeed Sky. was designed for you). The MetaSpeed Edge features ASICS’ FF BLAST TURBO™, a lightweight cushion that improves compression and creates a responsive feel underfoot. This is combined with a carbon plate to guide and propel your foot forward.

The MetaSpeed Edge’s curved sole design helps to reduce ankle flexion, which allows runners to conserve more energy and run further. The ASICSGRIP™ outsole is grippy to handle twists and turns (as well as wet pavement) on race day. This shoe is stable, with a lower stack height and firmer cushion than other carbon-plated shoes, which makes it great for 5K to half marathons, particularly if they have a lot of twists and turns.

The upper is light, breathable and a bit stiff, so you can get a good lockdown feel and run those corners with ease. This shoe fits a bit narrower and shorter than other ASICS shoes, so if you are in between sizes, you may want to get a half size larger.
