ASICS updated the Magic Speed to make it more versatile for both tempo runs and races. A full-length carbon and TPU plate gives you plenty of pop to propel your feet forward, crafting a smoother and more propulsive rebound during the toe-off phase of your stride. The top layer has FF Blast™ Plus cushioning to give you a more responsive rebound while keeping the shoe lightweight.

A new double jacquard upper provides a better fit while you run. The upper is durable enough for everyday training, but light and breathable enough for racing. Designers also retooled the shoe to make it fit and feel more comfortable on your foot.

The ASICS Magic Speed 2 is light enough for racing, responsive enough for speedwork and durable enough for daily training.

ASICS rehauled the Magic Speed 2 to make it fit better and give you more pop. Designers used the same shoe last as the MetaSpeed Sky to give you a better fit and feel. They also changed the upper from an engineered mesh to a double jacquard mesh upper for a more secure fit. ASICS changed the ¾ plate and made it into a full-length plate that provides extra rebound during the toe-off phase and smoother transitions. They also added FF Blast Plus as a top layer of cushioning to give even more bounce. The shoe overall is lighter than the previous version as well.
