The women's ASICS GT-2000 9 is a lightweight stability shoe built for a smooth ride.

ASICS updated the GT-2000 9 with a fresh, clean look but kept the stability features that runners rely on. The ASICS Dynamic DuoMax system creates a stable platform over the life of the shoe, and the Trusstic system mitigates twisting for a more consistent transition.

Even with the stability technology, though, ASICS maintained a light weight. The men’s GT-2000 9 weighs 9.9 oz and the women’s model weighs 7.8 oz, making the shoe versatile for a range of different running workouts.

In the ASICS GT-2000 9 review, Fleet Feet runners praised the shoe’s light weight and smooth feel, saying it creates a confident ride for new runners and experienced marathoners alike.

Great Fit and Cushioning!

I love these Asics! They have the support and cushioning I need for walking my big dog and getting through the rest of my day (yes I wear them all day long). The cushioning protects my knee and hip joints. I purchase this style year after year. Very happy with these.

The shoe is light and supportive. I find that it feels like there is less cushion under the toe but I've gotten used to that. The heel feels more cushioned under the heel which is what I need because have chronic shin splints. I can't run much but I frequently walk 5 miles at a fast pace and these have been great and I haven't experienced pain in these. (I've had them about 2 months and wear them about 5 days/week.) There was no really break in period which was really nice. Also in terms of fit I'd say it's a normal fit if not it runs slightly small. I usually wear a 7-7.5 so I bought a 7.5 but definitely felt it was a bit snug at first (I considered returning it for an 8). I decided to give it a few weeks though and about a month in it seemed to have stretched enough to be totally comfortable. Also as a heads up the regular width (which I got) is quite narrow. That works for my feet but if your feet aren't narrow be sure to get a wide fit! Overall - 5/5 these shoes are great for me!
