The ASICS GlideRide takes efficiency to the next level.
ASICS gave the GlideRide a boost by carving its midsole into a rocker shape, which ASICS calls the Glidesole. The curved shape helps reduce ankle flexion, which in turn reduces the amount of work your other leg muscles have to do to keep you moving forward.
The result? You run farther with less effort.
Designers used a cushy and responsive Flytefoam midsole that dampens impact and gives you a smooth ride. A touch of Gel cushioning under the heel also helps keep your body from feeling the pounding of a long run.
In the ASICS GlideRide review, Fleet Feet testers say the shoe marries and accommodating fit with clever technology to deliver an easy ride.

Love my shoes
I think Asics is finally bringing an "A" game to the table. The midsole is not too soft and not too firm. The rocker, while it takes a while to get used to, really does push you and provide a smooth ride at moderate to slower paces. The reason for 4 stars is the upper - I'm not fond of knit and here it displays the characteristics of many knit uppers - a bit too low volume, with a taper point that comes in too quick on the lateral side meaning the pinky toe had a hot spot, and a fairly hot upper. I also found going with the 7.5 (vs. the 7 that I sometimes choose) was a wise option because they run just a bit short for my feet. If Asics can fix the upper to not taper in so quick on the lateral so you get a bit more room (nobody has a foot that tapers this quickly frankly) in that pinky toe area and the knit weave could be a bit less dense so it is more breathable this would be a perfect shoe. As is, this is an excellent shoe prevented from being outstanding by some small things in the upper. I would give 8.5 out of 10.
What a terrific fit for my feet. You have made a winner here! Already have a backup pair in my closet. Thanks.
