Who It’s Best For
The Via Olympus can work well for a wide variety of runners. But there are two unique attributes to be aware of: It has Altra’s unique FootShape toe box that looks a little more squared off to help accommodate the actual shape of your foot, and it sits on a 0 mm heel-to-toe drop, which can take some getting used to.
Why You’ll Love It
The big bed of EGO Max foam makes it comfortable for lots of miles, but it’s light enough that you won’t notice any unnecessary weight on your feet. If you’re not running, it’s a great shoe for walking the dog or standing all day at work.

Size up
I wanted to love these. But they’re not quite right for me. The upper is stiff like the Altra Paradigm 5. I wanted the thick sole but it’s also stiff. And they run really small smaller than most Altras. I’m a size 7 and always wear an 8.5 to run. Ran a half and toes didn’t feel good. Will go back to the latest Altra Paradigm.
