Too much cushioning
Not a fan. Returned them. There’s too much cushioning which decreases the amount of toe box space.

Newer lock down design may not be for everyone
I ordered the Torin 9 in black with the bright colors . The colors are more vibrant than the 8 . The fit is different from the 8 . It locks down on the foot more. I wear a 9 b . A person with a wider foot is not going to like this one . If you have a skinny narrow foot you will probably not mind the change.

Loving the new Torin 9 design!
Staff recommended sizing up a half size so that the snug feeling across the top of foot/tongue area was no longer an issue! & then the fit was perfect! Feet & toes feel great! 5th pair of Altras! Yes, I'd recommend them to a friend! Plus, the sea pine green looks very cool!

Sensitive ankle bone didn’t work for me
Color was great. Very comfortable but I have sensitive ankle bones, so now I know, cut out for ankle area that is angular instead of round. Some of their tennis shoes have the square cut out for the ankle area that works better for me. Otherwise this is an awesome shoe. Sadly had to return.

Altra wide toe box shoes
Love them--fit great and love the roomier toe box. Had to order online since I need a Wide. Wish Altra made the Wide version in as many colors as the regular width.

I bought the Altra Torin 9 in the black with pink and orange, and I absolutely LOVE them! The color combination is even better in person, and they are SO comfortable. They have great cushioning and support while still feeling lightweight on my feet. The fit is perfect, and they’re comfortable enough to wear all day. Cute, colorful, and incredibly comfortable—definitely a winner for me!

Thrilled with the Torin 9
I wore the Torin versions 4 and 5 for thousands of miles and loved them, but the later versions have not worked at all for me. I’m so happy I gave these another try because I love these and look forward to wearing them for all my long runs this year!
