The Altra Torin 4 just got faster.
Altra took the popular Torin 3.5 and sliced out 2 mm of cushion for a lighter, faster, more responsive ride. Even without those 2 mm, though, the Altra still packs a 26 mm stack height for a protective feel underfoot.
But the changes for the race track didn’t change the shoe’s fit. Altra still used its FootShape fit to give it a wide, foot-shaped toe box that lets your foot splay naturally, and a 0 mm heel-to-toe drop keeps your stance neutral.
At only 9.1 ounces for men and 7.6 ounces for women, the Altra Torin 4 is eager for your fastest miles.

I love my new Altra Torin. They feel so good Ian's fit so perfect. Light! Wide at toes plenty of room that I could sleep in these in comfort! Most importantly they work with my walk and gait. Perfect for me!!!
These Altra running shoes are without a doubt the best shoes I've ever walked/jogged in because of the wide toe box and the fact that when I wear them my posture is improved! I will forever order this shoe. Love the fast delivery and love Fleet Feet's philosophy!
I really like the idea of these shoes - super light, squishy soft ride, rocker profile - but the fit is just not right for me. I have owned previous models but always found them too narrow. This time around I bought a pair of the wide EE size. While they are wider, I find the between the shape of the toe box and the actual width, they are still too narrow with rubbing in multiple places that started some hotspots on only a 6 mile run. I tried them for 20 miles and I just can't keep running in them. I'm not saying they're bad shoes, quality seems great, but they do not work for my feet. I wish Altra and Hoka would collaborate and put the Hoke style sole on a anatomically correct upper.
Had exactly what I needed and they delivered quickly. Will definitely purchase from again!
I previously ran in the Altra Escalante (1 or 1.5?). When I tried on the newest edition Escalante they were too snug on the bridge and ball of my foot. Something in the construction is different than the ones I had. After comparing and styles and reading numerous reviews I decided to go with the Torin. When I compared to the Escalante it said the stack was only 1mm higher, but when they arrived they looked much taller and felt much more cushioned. I generally prefer a flatter/neutral shoe. At first I didn't think I would like them. I kept scuffing the bottoms on the ground when walking, etc. But now after several runs I have found my stride. They are very comfortable and don't squeeze my instep, bridge, or ball of the foot. I also like the the tongue of the shoe is connected with a stretchy material so it doesn't shift around. I also really like the black and teal color I got. I was hesitant to order online, but I needed new shoes and stores weren't open yet. I'm glad I got these
