Altra Lone Peak 6
Features
Shoes that match your love for adventure, the Altra Lone Peak has long been a fan favorite of trail runners and hikers looking for a lightweight and comfortable trail shoe.
A 0 mm heel-to-toe drop and soft yet responsive EGO midsole is the perfect amount of cushioning to protect your feet on long runs while still giving you plenty of ground feel for a communicative and fun ride on the trail.
The support and grip you get from Altra’s MaxTrac outsole lets you dig into the dirt when you need to push a little harder and gives you extra control for soft landings while you descend steep terrain.
As you approach stream crossings and puddles on your route, a protective toe cap with drain ports helps drain water out of your shoes fast when the only way across is through. And when debris starts creeping down your socks, Altra’s attachments for their trail gaiters help keep stones, pebbles, dirt and sand out of your shoe.
From trails to towns, cities to summits, the women's Altra Lone Peak 6 gives you a versatile, wide-fitting trail shoe perfect for trail runs, hikes and outdoor adventures.

Perfect for trail runs
These trainers are great for those who are looking for an almost-barefoot feel. The toe box is spacious and the minimal cushioning allows your foot to naturally support you. The grips on the bottom are great but definitely not meant for pavement.
Most comfortable walking shoe everc
Best shoe ever. I’m a 6 mile a day walker and the Lone Peak holds up for 600-700 miles.
Still loyal
Love my Lone Peaks! I’m a faithful Lone Peak runner and decided to save some money by sticking with the 6s. My old ones were pretty worn with 500 mikes on them so I’m enjoying the spring and the sticky new lugs. Haven’t tried the 7s but these do the job for me on trails of all kinds.
Not supportive enough for me
I thought i was going to break an ankle or even my foot! Too soft bottoms for technical trails too soft uppers and heel wrap-around too giving no support inside the shoe. I tightened and tried alternate lacings; no good. I would have felt just as secure running in my bedroom slippers. I gave them 30 miles of trail trial and they never measured up. I returned them and got the Olympus 5.
Love these shoes !
Im new to Altras. No break in period wide toe box supportive but not stiff ! Laces stay tied without double tie. I'm hooked !
Best shoes yet
I love the Altra Lone Peak 6. I've never owned Altras before. I love the toe-box room I love the amount of support and they don't rub in any of the wrong places. They were super comfortable from day 1. I also tried on Topos when I was shopping and though I thought they looked a little more normal to me (because of the smaller toe-box they were not nearly as comfortable... they rubbed at my ankles and were just stiffer and more constricting. Now I even think the Altras look good! They just took some getting used to.
Great purchase

Altra Lone Peak 6
I walk 2 +miles daily on a gravel hilly road and I love Altra Lone Peaks this is my first time wearing this brand and I love them!
Altra Lone Peak 6
I am really enjoying my Altras this is my first pair from the brand. I have wide feet and these have fit perfectly from day one including the mid foot area. They clean up well and dry quickly. I do find that I prefer a sock with slightly higher cushioning on the bottom.
