Favorite Trail Shoe
I have tried so many styles and brands of trail shoes over the last year. This my 2nd pair of Altra Experience Wilds. My 1st was Wild 2. I got my Wild 3 a couple weeks ago and have gotten a couple half marathons in them so far. They are breaking in nicely. I notice my 3's hit my ankle a little different than my 2's but that could just be they need some breaking in. They will get it this weekend as I am set to tackle my 1st 100k. I love the wide toe box these shoes offer. I myself have a longer 2nd toe. I have to order a size up in these to give room for my longer toes. I like a cushion shoe when I am getting big miles. These have the most cushion of any of the trail shoes I have. I will continue to purchase the Experience Wild for years to come as long as they don't change them up to much. So thankful to finally find the right shoe for me.
