The Altra Experience Flow bridges the gap to zero-drop with a low, 4 mm offset and effortless ride.
A firmer compression-molded foam midsole and aggressive rocker shape deliver an energetic rolling sensation that makes this neutral trainer an exciting shoe for daily runs and workouts. The roomy Standard FootShape™ upper allows toes to relax and splay out while the midfoot and padded heel collar hug your foot for a glove-like fit.

- Upper: The Experience Flow features a Standard FootShape™ Fit, which falls in the middle of Altra’s three different options. “Great wiggle room in the toe box and a glove-like fit in the midfoot,” says Travis in our Altra Experience Flow review.
- Midsole: With a 4 mm drop, the Flow’s lightweight compression molded midsole gives you a responsive feel in combination with a rocker shape to gently roll you forward into your next stride.
What’s New
The biggest change made to the Experience Flow is the name. Formerly known as the AltraFWD Experience, the Flow features the same stack height and heel-to-toe drop, and uses the same compression-molded EVA midsole foam. The Flow now comes in a sleeker design for a contemporary and adaptable style. It is also almost identical in weight compared to the previous version.

When it comes to what to use this neutral daily trainer for, our run testers found it to be a fun ride for a variety of their workouts.

For those looking to ease into Altra's foot-shaped geometry, the Experience Flow makes an excellent entry point without going full zero-drop. Runners with wide feet, or those who just appreciate some extra wiggle room, will also love the fit of the Experience Flow.
