Saucony Endorphin Elite 2 Review: Unveiling incrediRUN
The Saucony Endorphin Elite 2 features a brand-new foam, incrediRUN. Saucony claims it “provides a level of performance that has to be felt to be believed,” so that’s exactly what we did.
Outfitter's Tip: this is a UNISEX-sized shoe. Men's sizes are shown — women should order 1.5 sizes below their standard running shoe size. For example: for a women's size 9.5 shoe, order a size 8.
The Saucony Endorphin Elite 2 proves that comfort and race-day performance can coexist.
Built around Saucony's new incrediRUN foam, this racing shoe delivers unexpected softness without sacrificing speed. A carbon-fiber plate and aggressive rocker shape keep you rolling forward, while the tall stack height provides plenty of cushioning to go the distance on race day.
Whether you're chasing down a marathon PR or blazing through a 5K, the Endorphin Elite 2's unique blend of soft cushioning and race-day tech creates a fast, comfortable ride that works with you when you're pushing the pace.

The shoe really comes alive at faster speeds, but a bit unstable at easy paces. I am a forefoot striker, but if I was a heel striker I would be concerned about stability as my form breaks down over the marathon distance. I think it will be a banger of a half marathon shoe, and just out of my comfort zone stability wise for the marathon. The performance trade off is probably worth the risk. It definitely runs small. At my usual size 12 I am right up on the toe board. The width is race day snug, but the upper is so comfortable it isn't a bother. I will be exchanging and going a half size up to save my toenails, definitely recommend sizing up unless you really run small for your size.
:)
The Saucony Endorphin Elite 2 running shoes fit great, feel very comfortable, and add some speed to your runs. The upper feels has a sock-like feel to it, making the shoe fit securely on your foot. The mid sole foam is very energetic, making it easier to pick up your pace. The grip underneath is good so far. I am curious to see how long they last, but after my first run in them (11 miles) I am very happy with the quality.
Still plush for those of us in need of comfort, but more spring and speed compared to the previous version. I like this shoe and plan to trust it on my upcoming next marathon.
As an older runner, I appreciate the extra cushioning and support. My runs have been longer and I'm now able to do 50 to 55 miles per week.
