This is one of Nike’s most anticipated shoes and for good reason. Great for racing 5K and 10K distances, the Nike ZoomX Streakfly is so lightweight that you forget you are wearing shoes.
The midsole features ZoomX, the same lightweight, responsive and high rebounding foam that can be found in Nike’s Alphafly Next% and Vaporfly Next% 2. The Steakfly sits lower to the ground and a midfoot shank adds some rigidity through the middle of the foot for torsion. The generous forefoot is also flexible to help you move at breakneck speeds.
The upper is an engineered knit that is lightweight and breathable. It does have some structure to it to prevent your foot from shifting when you turn. For comfort on the run, a contoured heel cup and glued-in insole hold your foot in place. Plus, the lacing is offset with a partially integrated tongue to provide a nice lockdown. When it’s time to pick up the pace, a tacky rubber outsole lets you break away from the pack.
