Step into comfort in the Topo Athletic Phantom 2.

Built to take on those long runs, daily training and recovery runs, the Phantom 2 has more cushion and comfort than its predecessor. Topo updated its midsole with a dual density design: The super soft ZipFoam™ in the middle is surrounded by EVA foam. The result is a soft feel underfoot that still provides a snappy ride.

The Phantom 2 features Topo’s signature wide toe box to give your toes room to wiggle and help your toes to align in their natural positions. An external TPU heel counter is integrated with the midsole to keep the foot locked down for a secure ride.

The overlay-free engineered mesh is breathable and comfortable. There is reinforced security through the midfoot and a gusseted tongue to keep your foot secure. Plus, the upper is made of 30% recycled materials.

The Topo Athletic Phantom 2 provides a lively cushioned ride whether you are going out for a long run or walking the dog.

What’s New

Topo made some changes to the Phantom 2. They increased the stack height by 3mm to give you more cushion and comfort. There is now a dual density midsole with a super soft ZipFoam™ that sits within a EVA frame to allow the shoe to be soft, while still giving you a snappy ride. They tweaked the shape of the shoe, so it is a bit wider for a smoother gait cycle and added more rubber coverage on the outsole for increased durability.

Another change was that they decreased the size of the TPU heel counter and eliminated the PU overlays in favor of reinforced stitching for a better fit and increased breathability.

I have owned several pairs of Topos. I have always been happy with the fit. This pair is destroying the middle toes on both feet. I am not sure why. They are the same size 10.5 as every other Topo sho I have worn.
