Saucony Ride 17 Review
The Saucony Ride 17 still offers the same smooth ride, with a few upgrades from the Ride 16.
The Saucony Ride 17 has the cushioning you crave for everyday movement without sacrificing high energy return for your runs and workouts.
This lightweight trainer blends comfort and performance seamlessly. Great for long runs or just walking around town, a generous stack of springy foam underfoot gives you a smooth ride that’s easier on your body. In fact, our reviewers noted how smooth the shoe transitions from walking to run and back again in our Saucony Ride 17 review.

Great fit and excellent combination of cushioning and stability in a relatively lightweight shoe
The shoe is a neutral shoe. But even for a neutral show, the heel could be a bit higher, seems to sink a little on impart, and having a medium to high arch, I wish there was a little more arch support in this shoe. Plenty of toe space on this 12.5 size shoe. Size seems to run a tad larger than normal scale size. Is comfortable on overall stride. Compared to earlier Ride shoes, has gone away from snug feel with good natural heel stike.
I’m 32 and was still in that Vans/Converse mode for everyday wear… then I got these. Sheesh. It felt like wrapping my feet in pillows — no joke. These are probably my favorite shoes ever. I wear an 11.5 Wide (learned that during a visit to a Hoka store), so I was pumped to see Fleet Feet offer a wide option. I got the grey and yellow striped pair, and they showed up exactly like the photo — clean, fresh, and ridiculously comfortable. I even used ChatGPT to figure out how to get the best use out of them. Now I’m excited to train in them and actually enjoy the process. Highly recommend.
