Saucony took this shoe up a notch by adding lightweight, super responsive PWRRUN PB foam to this shoe. This foam is known for its excellent cushion and amazing energy return which is why it is also used in the speedy Endorphin Pro 2 and Endorphin Speed 2.
Low to the ground, the Freedom 5 gives you support, agility and speed—great for zipping around corners in a 5K or doing burpees in the gym. The durable outsole can easily handle both forward and lateral movement, while the flex grooves in the forefoot give you the flexibility to take off.
An engineered mesh upper adds style and breathability to your workout and the material is more structured in the heel area to give support. The rich suede accents and intricate mesh patterns give the Freedom a dash of pizzazz, making you want to reach for it time and time again.

Whatâs New
The biggest change to the Freedom 5 is the addition of PWRRUN PB, Sauconyâs lightweight and responsive foam. Designers exposed a bit more of the foam in the outsole and tweaked the upper to make sure that it is breathable in the forefoot and more secure in the heel.
