Saucony Endorphin Speed

Features

From high-tempo training to race day, the men's Saucony Endorphin Speed excels.

Saucony extracts max performance from the Endorphin Speed with a host of new technologies, beginning with the midsole. A brand new PWRRUN PB foam makes the most of cushioning and energy return for a bouncy ride.

Sandwiched into the foam is a plastic plate. Like running shoes with carbon fiber plates, the composite plate helps transfer power from landing to takeoff to reduce fatigue. The plastic plate is more flexible than the carbon-fiber version found in the Saucony Endorphin Pro, though, so the Speed is more approachable for training.

The foam and plate join forces with the shape of the shoe to create what Saucony calls its Speedroll technology. The geometry gives the men's Endorphin Speed a lively rolling feel underfoot for a propulsive ride.

Designers covered the Speed in a thin, lightweight mesh upper and sewed in a minimal tongue. The attention paid to materials keeps the shoe’s weight down and to keep your pace up.

In the Saucony Endorphin Speed review, Fleet Feet runners loved the shoe’s feathery weight and comfortable versatility.

Make PR busting easier with the men's Saucony Endorphin Speed.

Saucony Endorphin Speed

Great shoes! Fits well with great cushion and a nylon plate that feels like it is propelling you as you run. And they look great!

Saucony Endorphin Speed

What a surprise. This pair is Not just for fast workout. Very versatile. If you like Hoka Rincon or NB Beacon, one has to check out Endorphin Speed. Check out at Fleet Feet. Great service.

The best shoe I have ever owned

Let me begin by saying I am a Nike fanboy. Even when their shoes were not best for me, I soldiered on for the brand. This year I just had enough and branched out. Had been hearing that Saucony had been killing it this year so decided to give them a try. Bought the Endorphin Shift and Ride 13’s initially. Both of those shoes are excellent daily trainers. Then went ahead and purchased the Speeds. Right out of the box, they are fantastic. Went for a nine mile run. Goal was an 8:30 pace and finished just above 8minute avg pace with little perceived effort. Shoes have excellent cushion with great responsiveness. The plate in the shoe helps with propulsion without being rigid. Fantastic shoe. Will run till this one wears out, then buy another and another

Great Shoe

I got the Endorphin Speed within two days of ordering it. I couldn't wait to give it a go. I was impressed with the performance. If you compare this to other reviews on the Internet, you'll find that it matches very well with the Endorphin Pro, but costs less. I found that to be true. THe weight difference between the carbon-plated Pro and nylon-plated Speed is negligible. For someone at my pace, I didn't feel a propulsion delta between the two shoes. Perhaps if I was running 5-minute miles, the difference might be substantial, but I can't be that pretentious to presume that. I'm well past that point in my so-called "running career". If you can afford it, give these shoes a try. I think you'll also find them to be a terrific race shoe for the middle-of-the-pack runner.

Smooth, Cushioned, and Propulsive

I had very high expectations for the Endorphin Speed, and am happy to say that they were met or exceeded! The cushioning is highly responsive/bouncy, but also comfortable and forgiving enough for longer runs, and the nylon plate and toe spring provide a nice sense of propulsion and forward momentum without feeling too aggressive or altering my form. I'm a mild overpronator, and have had stability issues with other plated shoes, but found the Endorphin Speed's heel counter and upper just supportive enough, and the plate/midsole encourages a forward-roll that seems to keep excess lateral motion and instability in check. They felt a little bit stiff on my first run, but after a short break-in period, the cushioning feels great- soft but not mushy, and supportive enough to combat foot-fatigue during longer runs. The laces are rather short, and I would recommend purchasing a pair of longer laces if you plan on using the extra eyelets for a runner's knot, but otherwise, the Endorphin Speed was everything I'd hoped for, and I'm very pleased with my purchase!
