Nike Pegasus 42
A responsive, everyday road running shoe with full-length Air Zoom cushioning, ReactX foam and a roomier fit built for runners who put in the miles.
Features
The Pegasus has earned its place in more training logs than just about any shoe on the market — and the 42 is the best version yet. A sculpted full-length Air Zoom unit delivers Nike's highest energy return from heel to toe-off, paired with a ReactX foam midsole that's 13% more responsive than previous React technology for an energized, propulsive feel that holds up from mile one to the last.
An updated fit gives you more room in the forefoot and toe box so your foot can move naturally, while a softer, more breathable mesh upper keeps things comfortable no matter how long you're out there.
Details:
- Upper: Lightweight engineered mesh is softer and more breathable than previous versions for a comfortable, ventilated fit. An updated geometry provides more space in the forefoot and toe box compared to the Pegasus 41.
- Midsole: A sculpted full-length Air Zoom unit delivers a propulsive, energized feel from heel to toe-off. ReactX foam — 13% more responsive than previous React technology — adds cushioned energy return for everyday road running.
- Outsole: Updated Waffle outsole with high-abrasion rubber and flex grooves delivers reliable traction and flexibility on road surfaces.

Pegasus 42 Trial
I am a Novablast runner at heart and have been against Nike for a long time but these are a great shoe for my daily runs. I have put about 30 actual road miles on these and they have felt comfortable since I first put them on. The only not really complaint about the shoe is the tongue being thicker than my normal running shoes and the normal Nike shoe strings but they can be replaced
