The Nike Alphafly 4 is lighter, softer and more responsive, giving you more help when holding your pace starts to feel harder. Updated Air Zoom units, new ZoomX LT foam and Nike’s carbon-fiber Flyplate work together to give you 10% more energy return than the previous version while trimming weight from the shoe.
Two types of ZoomX cushioning give you a softer, springier ride with smoother transitions through your stride. ZoomX LT, Nike’s lightest version of ZoomX foam, sits above highly responsive ZoomX cushioning, while added foam beneath the curved forefoot gives you more protection deep into long races. An updated Atomknit upper keeps the fit breathable and secure, helping you stay comfortable and focused from the opening miles through your final push.

- Upper: Nike’s updated Atomknit upper uses zones of open-hole mesh to improve breathability while midfoot cables help keep your foot securely contained. A seamless construction, integrated heel unit and molded sockliner add comfort and security over long distances.
- Midsole: Nike’s ZoomX LT foam is layered with ZoomX cushioning to give you a lighter, softer and springier ride. Dual forefoot Air Zoom units add responsive propulsion, while a wide carbon-fiber Flyplate helps stabilize your stride and create a smooth rolling sensation through toe-off.
- Outsole: Nike’s lightweight Fast Shot outsole gives you the traction and grip needed to stay connected to the road as you move through your race.

Nike updated the Air Zoom units for a softer, quieter feel and added ZoomX LT foam, which is up to 17% lighter than standard ZoomX while providing 8% more energy return. Added cushioning beneath the curved forefoot and a redesigned Atomknit upper further refine comfort, containment and transitions beyond what earlier versions offered.
