Details:
- Upper: The engineered upper helps you dial in your perfect fit so you can focus on your race, not your shoes. With a thoughtfully designed tongue and collar, the transition from your training shoes to these racers feels natural and comfortable.
- Midsole: Years of research have gone into perfecting the 100% PEBA FuelCell foam midsole that delivers exceptional energy return with every stride. Paired with a stiffer forefoot carbon fiber plate, this combination creates that propulsive feeling that helps maintain your pace when fatigue starts creeping in.
- Outsole: The new lightweight outsole material provides excellent grip on all kinds of surfaces, giving you the confidence to push the pace regardless of conditions. It's designed specifically to be grippier than previous versions, so you can focus on your race strategy with confident footing.

Good option for wide feet
I tried on several carbon plated shoes and these were the ones that I found most comfortable for my feet (Women's D width, using medium Superfeet inserts for my daily trainers). I wasn't able to put my normal orthotic insoles in them, but they were still stable enough for me to finish my half and full marathons without any problems. The reason I deducted a star is because the tongue is a bit shorter than I'd like and they also lack the "pop" of the other carbon plated shoes in the same price range. Bottom line: I'm a 4:15 marathon runner not looking to win a race, just looking for a wide, stable, carbon plated shoe to help me get a new PR. These worked for me.
Great Middle Pack Shoe
Purchased these right before the KY Urban Bourbon 1/2 Marathon, and it was the right choice. I planned on running the race using the V4s but I felt like they were too heavy and not aggressive enough. My hunch was completely justified when I shaved 2 minutes off my time. This shoe is the right amount of aggressiveness and comfort. I would definitely buy these again.
