New Balance rebuilt the midsole and upper to provide a better step-in feel with more comfort and cushion. The Fresh Foam X material is softer than previous versions, while a more responsive foam placed under the forefoot gives the 860 an energetic toe-off. Designers kept the medial post but reshaped it for a more natural feel. A reshaped midsole geometry and upper also help with the 860 v13’s stability and give it a lockdown fit.

GOOD SERVICE KNOWLELEDGE, GOOD PRODUCT
I like the shoes, but.....
The shoes work very well for me with the inserts. It's very hard to fit my feet due to arthritis and the beating I gave them for many years. The only thing I don't like is the color. The ice blue is lighter than it looks on line.
Best fitting shoe I have ever owned
I bought these shoes with excellent advice and service at the Vancouver, WA location. With my extra wide feet, it is always challenging to get a good fit. The professionals at the Fleet Feet store recommended this shoe and I am delighted with my purchase!
The New Balance 860 Great for Neuropathy
I have Neuropathy which causes foot related issues (blisters, sores etc). Once Fleet Feet got me on to the New Balance 860's, I no longer have the issues with my feet.
