Comfy and light
Tried these on in the store. Bought the brooks brand. But after seeing the online sale, I figured if my wife can own lots of shoes, so can I. Love both pairs

Great soft ride
I bought these for recovery runners, and the plush ride is spot on. They're not mushy though. They are relatively lightweight, so they'd be great for long slow distance runs. I also don't think they'd be bad for a little faster runs, but that's not their sweet spot. If you are looking for a cushioned run that's not heavy and mushy, this is a great shoe.

NB 1080's are the best
I'd always bought pretty basic shoes at big box stores. Saw a NB store over 10 years ago, and thought it'd be like an outlet, with better prices. I was shocked at the price, but got fitted, and wow. I'd never paid more than $60 for shoes before. Anyway, the comfort an fit was awesome with the 1080's. I couldn't believe the difference. This is probably my 4th pair of 1080's. I've tried Asics, Brooks, Nike, Hoka, and others. But for my foot, nothing compares to these, and they last better than most (esp. Nike). I figured since I knew what I wanted, and the size, I'd order online. Oddly, Amazon & NB sites wanted more $ for the color I chose. FleetFeet had these at the same price as the others, and I got them quickly. And it's nice to have the oppt'y to support a company smaller than Amazon without paying a premium.
