The heel is the biggest change in the New Balance Fresh Foam X 1080 v12. They moved away from the flexible, flared Ultra Heel and put in a more traditional, padded heel collar. New Balance also fine tuned the cushioning, weight and flexibility in the new 1080 v12 so it performs better when running.

Runs Big
The shoe runs large. I went down half a size down and it is still long and especially wide. Not sure why Fleet Feet rates it normal for fit. NB should let runners know it's big so they don't waste time.

Not like they used to be
I used to have the version 10 in this shoe but this version is horrible. This version made my plantar fasciitis flare up worse than any other shoe I have worn.

Great cross training shoe
Very cushioned shoe and fit is great. Not a big heal and toe drop like some running shoes great for court sports as well
