Shoe Review: Mizuno Wave Inspire 18
The latest version of the Mizuno Wave Inspire features a softer and more responsive feel, a redesigned upper and more eco-friendly materials.
Run with a spring in your step in the supportive Mizuno Wave Inspire 18.
The Inspire 18 gives you a cushioned, responsive and stable ride. This shoe uses Mizuno’s signature wave plate technology in a double wave pattern to provide support and stability during your run, which is ideal for individuals who excessively pronate or have flexible arches. Plus, this TPU wave plate is made from corn, a renewable biomass source.
Mizuno’s ENERZY foam in the heel provides both cushion and energy return for your runs. The midsole is made with U4IC, which is a unique proprietary compound that provides high comfort and performance, while also being lightweight. The result is a soft, smooth ride that puts a pep in your step.
The biggest changes made to the Wave Inspire 18 are in the upper, which is now seamless, lighter and contains recycled materials. Our reviewers loved the simple comfort of the updated upper in our Mizuno Wave Inspire 18 review.
The Mizuno Wave Inspire 18 continues its tradition of being a reliable, lightweight stability running shoe that’s perfect for everyday runs.

Could use more cushioning. Tread wear also uneven.
I like this shoe but I need more cushion to help control my plantar fasciitis. I’ll use this shoe for walking around but not for running.
The service was quick and easy. The shoes fit perfectly. This is my second pair of Mizuno and I am very happy with the quality and comfort.
