Mizuno Wave Inspire 16

Features

Get a responsive ride and stable feel in the men's Mizuno Wave Inspire 16.

The long-running Wave Inspire 16 uses Mizuno’s Wave Plate technology to give the shoe extra support for overpronators. Combined with firm U4ic foam, the Inspire 16 delivers a well-cushioned ride that disperses impact and rolls smoothly from heel to toe.

The new version has a more modern style thanks to a cleaner upper, but the premium materials provide durability for the long haul. In the Mizuno Wave Inspire 16 review, Fleet Feet runners say the Wave technology and responsive foam create a very stable ride.

This year, Mizuno also added a version with a knit upper, the men's Mizuno Wave Inspire 16 Waveknit.

With a cleaned up look and another upper option, the men's Mizuno Wave Inspire 16 remains a stable and capable workhorse.

Mizuno wave inspire 16

I have been wearing wave inspires for years. I love that they continue to provide the foot support that I need. Still the best shoe!

Exactly What Was Needed

As a novice who just recently got into the world of competitive running, I knew shoes were a crucial aspect. However, reading that and living that are two completely different things. I had planned on getting good running shoes eventually, but was told to do so sooner after experiencing some minor shin splints. Not knowing exactly what was needed, I went to Fleet Feet and had a profile made. The Mizuno Inspires were my number one recommendation. I went with the 16s because I like the color selection. I still want to look good, right? So far, I'm in heaven. My feet don't bother me nearly as much anymore, and my shin splints are gone completely. The recommended size of 10.5 was a bit larger than what I normally buy (9.5), so I was a bit skeptical, but they fit great! They have a great cushion, good support, and don't feel heavy or cumbersome on my feet at all. Like many sports, good equipment can make all the difference, and these shoes have proved that to me once more.
