The Mizuno Wave Horizon 5 is a fresh update to a classic stability shoe.

MIZUNO ENERZY foam is softer and more responsive than the previous U4ic foam, and it works with the engineered geometry of Mizuno’s stabilizing Foam Support Wave to create a lightweight and supported ride.
A redesigned heel collar offers enhanced comfort and works with the woven mesh upper to hug the contours of your foot and keep it secure while you run. Fleet Feet reviewers loved the updated upper saying, “Everything about the upper creates a nice secure feel all around your foot.”

Excellent stability shoe, gets the job done
I have been wearing this model for several years, wearing down a pair about every 6 months. They are one part of my running I never worry or think about--I just lace these up and know my feet will land where I intend, and I won't have any hot spots or other issues. I lace them with the "runner's lace" which keeps them snug but not too tight around my ankle. I appreciate that Mizuno provides this high quality, reliable shoe for those of us who put in lots of miles. Nothing fancy--and they even come in black, if you don't want your feet to look like someone spilled a bucket of paint.
Mizuno Wave Horizon 5
I think these might be the best running shoes I've worn. I have flat feet and prefer a stability shoe. The Wave Horizon 5 provides excellent support and comfort.
Excellent combination of control and comfort
It's been many years since I laced up a pair of running shoes that were immediately comfortable and stable like the MWH5s are on my feet. I love this shoe. I'm hard to fit because of a wonky right foot, but somehow, after the usual lace adjustments, this shoe accommodated my foot. I pronate and need a VERY stable/motion control shoe. This shoe meets all those needs. I Highly recommend the Muzino WH5.
