Bought these for my son to try for trail running. He absolutely loves them. Very comfortable and amazing grip in all types of terrain.
Was a gift. Person asked for them
Bought these as a gift for my father. So far, he loves them.
Would suggest to run with on the trails.
A bit tight at first but they broke in after about 10 miles or so. Plenty of cushion, but not too much that you can't get a sense of the ground below. All around a great choice.
I'm a bigger guy, and I've recently started rucking. These are comfortable, and fit great.
Great shoe. Unfortunately sent 2 left shoes and one of them wasn’t even close to the same size or same shoe. Returned and store reordered. Now all good. Love the shoes. Very comfortable
These are horrendous. My second pair of Speedgoat 5s ripped unexpectedly after 100 miles and I quickly needed to get a new pair. Found these on a deal and hated them immediately before even running in them. Running in them made it worse. Normally these are out of the box comfortable. The upper on the sides of the ankle is much stiffer than the previous versions (of which I've had 2 Speedgoat 3s and 2 Speedgoat 5s). It jammed into the underside of where my ankle sticks out on every step. Tried 1 mile 2 different days with retying my shoes and it was very painful with a red sore there after. Had to return them. Had already bought some Mafate Speed 4s and they worked for my race, tho they are narrower. At least they have the Megagrip unlike the very comfortable Challenger 9s. Looked for the older Speedgoat 5s and couldn't find them. I'll try again after they upgrade to the Speedgoat 7s.
The Speedgoat 6 is like all the past versions in great quality, soft cushion for the distance trails give and light weight for their size. The issue is the sizing change this model. Its a half size smaller now so my 10.5 is now an 11. Several other runners I know noticed too. Additionally could use more protection in the heal. The indent of the shoe in the heal leads to a minimal protection from rock impact.
