HOKA ONE ONE Challenger ATR 5

Never doubt your footing again.

HOKA rearranged the 4 mm outsole lugs on the bottom of the men's HOKA Challenger ATR 5 to give you traction on any terrain—the lugs gather closer together near the heel for a smoother landing but spread wider in the forefoot to help grip the trail. Also new in the fifth generation are redesigned midfoot overlays to improve the lockdown fit.

But the shoe still sports HOKA’s rolling Meta-Rocker shape for quick transitions and an internal heel counter for support.

No matter where you run, the Challenger ATR 5 is up for the task.

Pillow Running

I have recently changed to running in the HOKA ONE Challenger ATR 5 trail shoes, and they are fantastic, it really does feel like I am running on pillows for short, and longer distance runs. You get good mobility, and very light but have great cushioning where I feel I can just keep running. Overall I am very impressed with them.

The only place to purchase shoes.

Fleet Feet deserves more stars. Great store, and even better customer service. Store staff are knowledgeable, and very accommodating. I am on my third pair of Hoka's, and never consider shopping anywhere else.

Always great service from community minded business

I have purchased many shoes here over the years and the service continued to be great even during the pandemic with curbside and online purchases. Tony is a great supporter of community events and such a positive light in providing personalized service.

Trail Transition

I had been running with Clifton's for about five years then I began running trails. The transition from the Clifton on the treadmill during the winter to Challenger when I move outside in the spring has been seamless. All of the Challengers that I have purchased have ripped on the inside of the shoes at the ball of my foot. Usually rips around 220 miles. This has not prevented me from purchasing but certaily it would be nice for the supportive netting to last longer. Overall though it is a great shoe!
