Features
Soft cushioning and stability don't feel like opposites wearing the HOKA Arahi 9. An enhanced H-Frame™ system helps manage overpronation while guiding you smoothly into your gait cycle, all without the bulky feel you might expect from a traditional stability shoe.
Underfoot, HOKA’s dual-density compression molded EVA foam gives you a soft, cushioned platform for everyday runs and walks. An engineered mesh upper uses a tighter construction along the medial side for added support, while the podular outsole design helps keep your transitions smooth and controlled.
Details:
- Upper: The engineered mesh upper uses tighter mesh along the medial side to give your foot added support. Haptic prints, a 3D silicone print and reflective details round out the streamlined design.
- Midsole: HOKA’s dual-density compression molded EVA foam pairs soft cushioning with enhanced H-Frame™ technology to help manage overpronation and guide your foot smoothly through your gait cycle.
- Outsole: Super abrasion rubber adds durability underfoot, while the podular outsole design supports smooth, controlled transitions through your stride.

How to screw up a great shoe
I've been wearing Arahi 8s for a while and I figured Hoka would make the Arahi 9 better. They made it worse, much worse. They tried to mimic the feel of a GT 2000 v14 and they succeeded but it's a much worse ride than the Arahi 8. And to make it more obvious that it was the wrong decision by Hoka, Asics move on to the GT 2000 v15 which is now at the top of its class for mild pronators. Go back and buy Arahi 8s on sale!!!
