Nubuck leather accents are Leather Working Group Certified for durability and quality, and even feature PFC-free waterproofing that keeps the elements out.

I have only been wearing these off and on for a couple of weeks. I needed waterproof hikers for a trip my wife and I are taking. I have a very painful right foot and ankle. I thought I’d try the mid to give some ankle support. I’ll tell you, I’m so glad I chose these shoes. The cushioning is Hoka comfortable and seems to be more evenly distributed across the entire sole. Very cushy with great return. The uppers fit my foot well and support my ankle. When I walk in these shoes there is very minimal to no discomfort. This hasn’t happened I a few years. The only negative (besides the cost) is that while sitting and resting a hot spot develops on the outside of my right ankle. I can live with that. It’s just a signal to get up and keep moving. I plan to get a pair of Lahaina mid. I want to change shoes out once in a while. They are my walking, dress, gym, and coaching shoes. Glad I bought them.
I work at a tree nursery so I’m on my feet running around in dirt, water and mud all day. These boots are lightweight and comfortable, the gortex shell is completely waterproof, super easy to clean and the vibram sole provides great traction. I would say the mid length isn’t as supportive as a traditional hiking boot (leather) but a close second.
