Make your run a little softer.
The luxury of the new men's Brooks Glycerin 17 comes from its full-length DNA Loft midsole. The generous helping of super-soft foam runs from the heel to toe, making sure that every part of your foot is cradled in cushion.
Brooks sewed an internal stretch bootie into the shoe to hug your foot and then wrapped it up in an engineered mesh upper that moves and expands with each step. Together, the bootie and upper give the Glycerin a plush feeling for as many miles as you can run.
Engineers didn’t change much from the previous version, the Brooks Glycerin 16. This year’s shoe now includes an OrthoLite sockliner for increased comfort, but the midsole, upper and outsole all remained the same.
Overall, testers in our review of the Brooks Glycerin 17 loved how soft it felt inside and out.
Brooks designed the Glycerin 17 for those long days when you was to rack up the miles without pummeling your body.

If you need a wide toe box and good cushion all around this is the perfect shoe for you. I had major injury problems before switching to the glycerin, but it has curbed those issues substantially. I considered switching and tried out many other brands, but this is the shoe for me.
These are very soft and well cushioned shoes. That is what I was looking for. David and Kyle know there stuff. Very light weight too.
Excellent shoe. I have had an issue in the past with Achilles tendinitis and was concerned changing from Mizuno’s Waverider but opted to try these Brooks from a friends recommendation. The shoe feels great and is an excellent fit!
I really like this shoe - been buying them for years. I can use it with my orthotic and there is a lot of padding by the heel so I get a good fit there
