- Upper: An engineered mesh upper, padded tongue and heel counter, plus enhanced overlays for extra support and a heel lock on the back, give you a tried-and-true fit that locks down your midfoot and contours to the shape of your feet. So no blisters, hot spots or rubbing. Plus, the Brooks Ghost 16 is available in narrow, wide and extra wide widths.
- Midsole: The Ghost 16 comes upgraded with a DNA Loft v3 midsole foam that’s injected with nitrogen, which then turns from a liquid to a gas. The result is a lightweight ride that’s durable and smooths out your run.
- Outsole: RoadTack rubber is a new outsole material from Brooks made of rubber and recycled silica. This combined with the DNA Loft v3 midsole makes the Ghost 16 one of the most durable shoes out there.

The latest version of the Ghost comes with a brand-new, nitrogen-infused DNA Loft v3 midsole and sees the stack height dropped by one millimeter compared to the previous version. Brooks also used their new RoadTack rubber on the outsole that’s durable and grippy to hold up against daily wear.

Great long distance sneakers
I find the Ghost 16 is very comfortable, because I need neutral fit and some stability. The extra layer of rubber at the bottom gives me more mileage (500 miles per change) running on asphalt. I would love to have more colors to choose, but due to my size 12.5 m width 2E their isn't much n I understand. Great sneakers for long distance running.

The Only Shoe for me
I am constantly trying on new kicks to find anything that fits like Brooks Ghost 16. I have yet to find one. I have 'duck' feet, with a wide toe, skinny heel, and high instep. Fleet Feet is my go to store because they help me try on a myriad of brands and styles knowing full well I'll come back to the same shoe. Now, if they would just make them is come really fun colors.

I love my Brooks Ghost 16. I was a little concerned about the 12.5 size because I normally get a 13. After wearing them now for a couple of weeks they will work out.
