- Upper: A jacquard mesh upper wraps your foot in slipper-like comfort while providing improved breathability and stretch. A padded heel collar holds your feet securely in place and prevents unwanted rubbing.
- Midsole: New FF BLAST MAX foam delivers an enhanced bounce and responsiveness while maintaining the shoe's signature lightweight feel.
- Outsole: The outsole retains its distinctive trampoline-inspired geometry that's made the Novablast series a favorite for many runners. A soft AHAR® LO outsole is durable and improves traction on a variety of surfaces.

Great shoes!
The Novablast are my new favorite. Don't get me wrong Cumulus and Nimbus are awesome, too, but I find the Novablast more comfortable, to me at least. Judge for yourself. I've got three pair. Give them a try. Great selection of colors.

Great trainer
This is probably my 6th pair of Nova Blasts. Great trainer with a soft ride that stays relatively snappy for 300 + miles. Very stable neutral shoe with a comfortable upper and decent room in the toe box. It works, I will continue to buy them.

Soft and springy.
Can't really say how Asics does it but I've moved on from Hoka Clifton 9 and NB 880. Those both are dead in comparison but the Asics keeps the plushness and adds spring...

Awesome trainers and race shoes
I use these for my training for marathons and buy a fresh pair a couple weeks before race day. They're very cushy and probably on the heavier side, but they really help me with prevention toe/foot cramps.

Great cushion and responsiveness
I love these shoes! What a great blend of a pretty plush ride but also a little snappy. A perfect running shoe for everything that isn't pure speed work or low slow distance, although you could easily use them for both. This is my new go-to shoe.

ASICS Novoblast 5
There was a wait for the service because the place was very busy on a Sunday afternoon. But the shoe fitting session was very professional and detail-oriented. The weight of the ASICS Novoblast 5 shoes is very light with good padding. Almost feels like running on the cloud.
