ASICS GT-2000 v10

Features

The ASICS GT-2000™ v10 keeps your mind and body focused on the road ahead. This great moderate stability everyday trainer has gotten an update to provide a smoother and more stable ride.

ASICS GT-2000 is perfect for those runners with flexible arches that need a little extra stability. The new LITETRUSS™ technology provides for a more accommodative stability feature, enhancing midfoot durability without overcorrecting the runner. They added 3D SPACE CONSTRUCTION™ creates a more comfortable running experience tuned for the biomechanical differences of male and female runners without reducing stability.

Previously, the GT-2000 had two different uppers: engineered mesh and knit. The new version combines the best features of each with its new engineered knit upper. It delivers the look and feel of knit, with the fit, structure and function of engineered mesh. It offers a more secure and comfortable fit, wrapping around the foot like a second skin. The engineered knit modernizes the visual appearance of the shoe and softens the experience, while maintaining the durability and performance of previous versions.

ASICS added 2mm of their FLYTEFOAM® Propel cushioning under the forefoot and added an additional flex groove on the bottom insole for a softer, bouncier experience. This changed the shoe to an 8mm heel-to-toe offset. The change in offset combined with the new full ground contact on the outsole translates into a smoother, more efficient ride. The combination of Flytefoam® Propel, Flytefoam® and gel make this shoe lightweight, plush and comfortable.

This is a great update to ASICS’ go-to moderate stability shoe that is perfect for someone running their first 5K or their 100th marathon. Check out our review on the GT-2000 v10 to learn more.

What’s New + -

This was a major update to the GT-2000. First, they changed the stability mechanism in the shoe, removing the old Trusstic system and adding Litetruss™ and 3D Space Construction™. This allows for full ground contact, a more accommodating stability feature and midfoot durability. They added Flytefoam® Propel to the forefoot, decreasing the shoe’s heel-to-toe drop from 10mm to 8mm. That, combined with the full ground contact, provides for a smoother, more efficient ride. Finally, they changed the upper to an engineered knit. It provides a softer feel, sleeker look with the same support and fit.

Who It’s Best For + -

This is a versatile moderate stability shoe that provides for a light responsive ride for people who are looking to walk around the block or people doing their 50th marathon.
