Tongue is waaaaay to long with a sharp edge
Very comfortable shoe rating a 5. the tongue needs to be shorter and duller. Can't believe they didn't do any QA and actually wearing the shoes before manufacturing it! Rating a 1 QA
Always good, but why change?
I’m a big fan and love Altras. It’s good to see the upper holes for shoestrings are back. Oterhwise, it’s about the same as previous versions. I just wish companies would stick with what works and stop gazing out older models that work just fine. I’ll remain a fan and look forward to many, many more miles ahead.
Good shoe - size up
Loved the Torin 4, but this 5 is not quite as good. I had to size up from my normal 12 to 12.5. I also don’t like the tongue or that the shoe laces are too short. Overall, some flaws that Altra will hopefully address moving forward. But I still love this shoe and the comfort.
Problem with my knee pain gone away with shoes
Altra Torin 5 - Still Adjusting
Interesting shoe - something different. I decided to give it a try and I am still adjusting to the shoe. I am 55 years old and the flat posture of the shoe has caused some soreness in my heals and feet. No from a lack of cushioning etc,, but from stretching my foot and heal. Jury is still out on a thumbs up/thumbs down opinion on the shoe.
