I’ve stuck with the Altra Escalante line from the first model through some disappointing models, and then to this current one. While I still believe the initial model was the best, this last one (v4) comes closest to replicating the initial model, with a bit more cushioning. Yes, the uppers wear through at the toe, but the shoe is comfortable and still wearable. This is my go to shoe (I have multiple pairs that I rotate)
