Absolutely the best! The staff took lots of time until the fit for my husband, who is close to 90 was, was perfectly satisfied. He tried on many pairs of shoes and it was determined that they needed to order the righ5 size. His new shoes arrived the next day! He adores them and they have made a big difference in his walking confidence.

Good run and walking shoe for old guys with flat feet XW toe box is great.
Very comfortable for all day wear and walking for exercise. Tried several different brands of “walking” shoes; no luck. Ordered online and the fit is great.
Not stiff enough
I have hallux rigidus in my right toe. Podiatrist says I need a stiff walking shoe. At first after trying on 8 pairs at my local Fleet Feet, I settled on a HOKA. After a few days, I realized it was not stiff enough to stabilize that toe. Thanks to their great return/exchange policy I was able to try a different shoe. Again after trying on 6 shoes, I settled this time on the New Balance 840. I've been using it for a week and the toe is still not stiff enough to stabilize my toe. After about 1.5 miles of brisk walking, it aches. I don't feel comfortable returning a second pair, so I will just stay with it until they wear out. I'm sure it's a great running shoe; it just doesn't do what I need for it to do. As far as sizing, I'm normally a 9.5 regular/medium (once in awhile I need a 10). The 9.5 was a bit short, so I purchased a 10 and it fit great.
