Summer Internship Program
Fleet Feet's paid summer internship program is focused on recruitment of underrepresented groups with the goal of overcoming perceived barriers of participation related to location, transportation, or awareness. Our 9-week rotational internship will provide professional development, mentorship, networking, skills development, and on-the-job training in two areas of the intern's choosing at Store Support Team (Corporate office) and Retail Stores. The summer internship program lasts for nine weeks, from early June to early August.
Internships are fully paid. Your Recruiter can provide you with details.
If the internship is with the Store Support Team, it can be remote. If the internship is in a retail store, you will be required to work in person.
There is optional travel to Fleet Feet’s headquarters in Carrboro, North Carolina for the first week and the last week. All expenses will be covered.
Yes, you can get course credit.
Internships are only for students still enrolled as undergraduates.
You’ll complete meaningful work in two departments, at the Store Support Team or two areas of interest in a retail store. You will have the option to travel to Fleet Feet’s headquarters, and learn through weekly development sessions and networking events. You’ll meet with our leaders to learn about different departments, sharpen your presentation skills, review your resume and explore career options. The internship concludes with a final presentation. Plus, you’ll receive discounts for shopping in Fleet Feet stores!
