“In November of 2006, my doctor informed me that I was a type 2 diabetic. At this time, I realized I was overweight and unhealthy. This was the beginning of me walking and eventually running. With my commitment to moving and by signing up for local races to keep me motivated, I have lost over 100 pounds and kept it off. Now 12 years later, I am still controlling my health by working out and putting in the miles. I have run nearly 30 half marathons and one full marathon. I am a more confident teacher, wife, parent, daughter and person because of the healthy choice of running daily.” - HOKA fan Lisa King from Fleet Feet Springfield, MO #humansofHOKA
