Alice Owens

“In 2016, I decided I was fed up. I was overweight, out of shape and in bad overall health. When an ad for a 10-miler popped up on Facebook, I immediately registered. I had no idea what I was doing. I couldn't run to the end of my 25-foot driveway, much less 10 miles. But I had paid and was committed. I ended up joining a running group at my local Fleet Feet and about two months into the program, I signed up for a half marathon. I finished my 10-miler in my goal time, and I finished my half marathon. After that, I realized that running was here to stay. Running has changed my life. I am not a fast runner or a great runner, but when I run, I feel like I can do anything. It has given me a sense of accomplishment and shown me I am capable of more than I ever thought possible.” - HOKA fan Alice Owens from Fleet Feet High Point, NC #humansofHOKA
