Dig Deeper Than Ever Before

Grit. Tenacity. Determination. These are the qualities that define cross country runners as some of the most resilient athletes in the sport. A spike should reflect the runner who wields it, which is why cross country spikes are made to be swift, rugged, and adaptable to any course's terrain. A fresh pair of spikes will equip you with the traction you need to dig deep and power past the competition this season.

When you lace up the Nike Zoom Victory XC 4, you'll be pushing boundaries before even crossing the starting line. The revolutionary sock-like fit is engineered with a Hyperfuse water-resistant upper, the very first of its kind. Nike's ambitiously smooth rubber outsole is designed to resist dirt, pebbles, and other hindrances that build up within the average waffled spike, while an aggressive spike plate provides you with the grip you need to tear through any course.

The ability to shed water, dirt, and debris makes the Zoom Victory 4 the most course-ready spike in the industry. All the while, it weighs in at a featherlight 4.8 ounces, making this spike the complete package.

Flats and Waffles

Spikes aren't the only way to zoom through the upcoming cross country season. Alternative footwear, such as flats or waffles, may be better suited to races that take place on harder surfaces. The lightweight, spikeless nature of flats makes them an excellent choice for races run on pavement, while a pair of waffles can provide grip and traction on other surfaces—say, thick rocks or gravel—that aren't optimal for spikes.

Additionally, either type of shoe is an excellent weapon to keep in your arsenal and utilize in training and workouts. Whether you're looking for a little extra speed on some intervals or a little less weight on a tempo run, lace up a pair of flats or waffles to free your feet on any surface.
