In 2008, Brooks set out to create a go-to running shoe for runners of all levels and abilities. During its inception, Brooks’ director of product management coined the nickname “the Ghost” because he would run only at night, and thus, the Brooks Ghost was born.
Today, the Ghost remains a fan favorite for runners and walkers thanks to its versatility and reliable fit. Brooks continues to refine and improve upon this neutral daily trainer to give you a well-rounded running shoe that can easily handle recovery days, long-distance runs and even some faster-paced workouts.
Technology
- 3D Fit Print. The revolutionary process uses screen-print technology to build engineered structure for the upper of a shoe. 3D Fit Print maintains the shoe's structure but gives it better flexibility and a lighter weight.
- DNA LOFT midsole foam. For a smoother ride and easy landings, DNA LOFT blends foam, rubber and air for softness that’s also light and durable.
- Segmented Crash Pad. The Crash Pad is a midsole design that uses independent, but fully integrated, shock absorbers to smooth out your ride. The segments work together to customize your landing when your foot hits the ground, making for a seamless heel-to-toe transition.
- Carbon Neutral. The Ghost was Brooks' first carbon-neutral running shoe helping them down a path to net zero carbon emissions by 2040.
