Triathlete Julie Moss poses in front of a HOKA banner

Julie Moss is a retired pro triathlete and member of the IRONMAN Hall of Fame. She is an athlete ambassador for HOKA and lives in Cardiff, CA. In 1982, Moss drew attention to the sport of triathlon with a dramatic televised crawl across the finish line in her first race, the IRONMAN World Championships.

Moss raced as a pro for 11 years before retiring, but missed the sport too much to stay away for long. She returned to compete as an age group competitor for another 24 years. Moss is the author of the book “Crawl of Fame” and works as an event announcer and speaker. Julie makes her own kombucha and is devoted to crossword puzzles, hot yoga, and sampling West Coast-style IPAs.
