Abbey Cooper (D’Agostino)

A picture of Abbey Cooper running

Abbey grew up around competition, watching her parents race triathlons and marathons all over New England. She began her own sporting journey as a swimmer, until she joined the cross country team as a freshman in high school and fell in love with running. Abbey went on to run at Dartmouth College, where she won seven NCAA D1 National Titles in the 3,000m, 5,000m, and cross country.

After graduating in 2014, she began her professional career with New Balance and qualified to represent the U.S. at the 2015 World Track and Field Championships (5,000m), the 2016 Indoor World Championships (3,000m), and the 2016 Rio Olympics (5,000m). Abbey now lives and trains in Boone, North Carolina with her husband and alongside her training group, Mountain South Elite. Outside of running, she is a person of faith, and a lover of adventure, the arts, deep conversation, and peanut butter.
