5-Minute Simple Strength Routine for Runners

This simple five-minute workout consists of two exercises: push-ups and squats. It's an easy-to-follow routine to squeeze in extra strength when you have little space and little time. What's more, you don't need any special equipment. Here's how to do it:

  • Perform 5 push-ups followed by 20 squats every minute, on the minute (if regular push ups are too difficult for you, perform these from your knees to maintain solid form throughout the workout).
  • Your rest is the remainder of the current minute.

By the end of five minutes, you'll have completed 25 push-ups and 100 squats.
