Decatur, Georgia
Fleet Feet Decatur, Georgia opened its doors on July 17, 2008 by Clay and Karen Scarborough, long-time fitness enthusiasts and local residents of Decatur. Clay and Karen have always wanted to own their own business, and owning one within walking distance of their home is even better. Fleet Feet Sports was the perfect choice for Clay and Karen, long-time fans of Fleet Feet and recreational runners and walkers. An avid jogger, Clay has participated in numerous races. Most recently he ran with his daughter, Kim (who happens to be Fleet Feet Decatur’s Store and Marketing Manager) in the Walt Disney Marathon, where they helped each other make it across the finish line. Karen is a dedicated walker, hoping to participate in her first half marathon later this year.

Berkeley, California
Eric and Julie Wilson opened the 86^th Fleet Feet Sports franchise in beautiful Berkeley, California on June 21, 2008. Eric and Julie are passionate about health and fitness. Both have competed in numerous marathons, triathlons, and dozens of shorter distance events over the last couple of decades and have been involved in the running/fitness community for many years. Opening Fleet Feet Berkeley is a dream-come-true for this couple.

Sarasota, Florida
Fleet Feet Sports opened the 85^th franchise in Sarasota, Florida on June 5, 2008. Pat and Mackenzie Jones hold the esteemed title of Fleet Feet Sports first and only mother-daughter team. Pat (the "mom") and Mackenzie (the "daughter") both frequented Fleet Feet stores in their respective home towns to buy shoes, apparel & accessories, but more importantly to meet with friends and/or total strangers to train for various events, or to just go out for "fun runs.” Mackenzie had the bright idea to open a Fleet Feet Sports in beautiful Sarasota, and the rest is history.

Fenton, Missouri
Fleet Feet Fenton, Missouri opened on May 30, 2008 to become the third location operated by David and Debby Spetnagel in the St. Louis area, joining Fleet Feet St. Louis and Fleet Feet Chesterfield. Fleet Feet Sports has been a part of the St. Louis running community since 1993. Named one of the top 50 stores in the nation by The Running Network & Footwear Intelligence Magazine, Fleet Feet was also named the best store in Missouri by Runner’s World Magazine and awarded Best in St. Louis honors by St. Louis Magazine.

Las Vegas, Nevada
Fleet Feet Sports Las Vegas became the 83^rd franchise when it opened on April 24^th and is owned and operated by Jim and Theresa McNally along with Keen and Sunny Ellsworth. The franchise is located in the Summerlin section of Las Vegas on a walking/running path.

Starting their own businesses is nothing new to our new franchisees in Las Vegas. Before becoming a Fleet Feet Sports franchisee, Jim McNally ran his own custom aquarium business. His wife, Theresa, maintained her own freelance video editing business. Keen Ellsworth is the founding partner of Ellsworth, Moody and Bennion, a Las Vegas law firm. Over the past few years, the McNallys and Ellsworths have begun regularly participating in numerous races in Nevada, including 5ks and half marathons.

Bend, Oregon
Fleet Feet Sports Bend, owned and operated by Rod and Katie Bien, became the 82^nd franchise and the first franchise in the Beaver State by opening on April 3^rd. The Bien's selected a location on the upcoming Westside of the city where they converted a house/office building into a store that truly represents the Fleet Feet Sports model.

The Bien's come to Fleet Feet Sports not only as accomplished runners but also as experienced retailers, owning a very successful Patagonia Store (Patagonia by Pandora's Backpack) also in Bend.

Brookfield, Wisconsin
On March 6, 2008, Fleet Feet Sports Brookfield opened its doors. Lauri and Rusty Sergent are the operators of this location in the suburbs of Milwaukee. It is the second Fleet Feet Sports store in the state of Wisconsin.

Natives of Wisconsin and Northern Illinois, respectively, Lauri previously was a pilot for the Wisconsin Air National Guard, while Rusty has successfully owned and managed many businesses, including a supply business, a Quizno's franchise, and a reseller of snowmobile apparel.

The 3000 square foot store is located in a high-end retail area in Brookfield, WI. Wood floors, Opto fixtures, and a light yellow with green accents color scheme give the store the feel of a spacious boutique. A custom "FF" logoed shoe wall provides ample area to display footwear, while a pair of comfortable chairs and a flat screen television allow patrons an opportunity to relax and learn about new products and store events.
